Today I want to talk about heart month, seeing as this month is heart month and it happens to fall on the month of my birthday to! So for someone who has a congenital heart defect I think this is important to have an awareness month.
Heart Month is an event run by the British Heart Foundation to raise understanding of heart problem and treatments.
So what can we do to celebrate heart month and those around us, suffering or who we have lost to heart disease.
First thing they say is – get moving! Obviously you know I’m going to push this, so get walking jogging, cycling, use apps to track yourself and enjoy getting fit and helping your own heart. You could even do a race in these activites for charity and raise money for the british heart foundation. This year I have so far raised £110 for the Bicuspid Aortic Foundation!
Next I would suggest cooking up a healthy meal, make a hearty mela as they say full of vgeetables and nutrients. Way to my heart is definitely through good food. Next would be wear red – the American heart association are encouraging people to wear red so this year on my birthday night out I am wearing a red dress for this reason!Do you like red? Can you wear something red this month?
Heart month is important it is good to share, it reminds us about how lucky we are, how we can exercise how we can cook, and eat healthy food, it helps other people become aware of the importance of looking after your heart and your health it encourages people to build a supportive system to those who are heathy to remain healthy and to encourage and help those who are not so, it helps people become aware of choices and decisions to a better, healthier heart.
Much Love to my angels and their hearts ♥️
